Zinc promotes microbial p-coumaric acid production that protects against cholestatic liver injury

Cholestatic liver disease (CLD) is a common liver disorder with limited treatment options. Here, we demonstrate that zinc (Zn) supplementation can alter the gut microbiome to mitigate cholestatic liver injury.
